Call a backdoor number and ask if they'll waive the AF. If not, ditch them.

Re: Should I kick HSBC to the curb?????

i am not a fan of FP so i'd also say cancel if they won't remove AF.  however, it depends if you have other sources available to you currently.  if not, it may make sense to wait until you do since you already suffered the inq and new acct ding for the FP TL.

Don't pay a $79 AF for a $300 CL. Call HSBC and ask a retention specialist for a fee waiver. The front line CSR's are hopeless - they cannot do it. It might happen. I always recommend attempting this twice before closing the card. You might want to try and replace the card before you close it.

You are going to lose CJ, they have become persona non grata in the credit reporting world.

Yeah, I'd kick 'em with that CL and that AF.  Pay everything else down, and be done with HSBC!!!
