I have had my HSBC card for a year with no cli ($300). The $79 annual fee is going to be applied to my account within my next billing cylce should i close this account?
Thank you

i am not a fan of FP so i'd also say cancel if they won't remove AF. however, it depends if you have other sources available to you currently. if not, it may make sense to wait until you do since you already suffered the inq and new acct ding for the FP TL.

I currently have a boa (unsecured in april), credit one, Hooters, New york & co, Newport news, crown jeweler( i hope they didnt erase the tl). No lates on any of the cards.
Don't pay a $79 AF for a $300 CL. Call HSBC and ask a retention specialist for a fee waiver. The front line CSR's are hopeless - they cannot do it. It might happen. I always recommend attempting this twice before closing the card. You might want to try and replace the card before you close it.
You are going to lose CJ, they have become persona non grata in the credit reporting world.
