Should I try to app for a new CC?

What I have:

WF Secured $500 (opened 2/10) (closed it 2 days ago)
Macy's (opened 10/10)
Conn's installment loan 1k (opened 10/10)

Cap1 Journey $500 (opened 2/11)

100% on time payments, never late. 40% util (all 40% was on WF)

nothing negative just have a thin file.

TU 655 / EXP 665 / EQ 651

should I stick it out a little longer or is there something I could apply for and possibly be approved?

I'd stick it out a little longer and let your AAoA build up some. There's possibly a few store cards you may get (based off other posts here, maybe through GEMB), but with a high utilization, and short history, you may do better just going into garden mode for a while instead of risking a hard pull.

Starting Score: 08/01/2009 584
Current Score: 08/01/2011 EQ 684 EX (Lender Pull) 702 TU 712
Goal Score: 780+

Re: Should I try to app for a new CC?

Let's see, you have:

18 months history on WF secured (now closed - zero balance)

10 months history on Macy's (no CL reported - zero balance)

10 months history on Conns (zero balance)

6 months history on Cap One (zero balance)

It looks like your three open accounts are all less than a year old.

I would give it at least 2+ months before looking at apping - that way you'll have two open accounts over a year old, and one open (and your only bank cc) account that is 8 months old.

Do you have any other accounts at all on your CR?
