No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I am a member at two local CUs, one where I used to live and one where I live now. Both seem to offer the same products through CUNA. Anybody have any idea what the usual requirements are? I'm looking for the dedicated SD card that I can use in an emergency or just have as a checking back-up if I need it for some reason. Or for when more banks decide to treat me like Citi, read my other threads if you're curious.

That depends on if the CU sets the standards and approves the cards, or if CUNA does. For example, Elan makes the credit decisions for their cards, not the local bank/CU. By contrast, my CCU card is either issued by, or managed by PSCU, and they provide 24x7 customer support, but CCU actually made the credit decision, APR, etc.
Have you tried chatting with or emailing them directly? They should be able to tell you which bureau they use, the FICO needed for the best terms, etc. I did that with a few local ones before I picked the one I liked the best, and offered the best terms. I think I only had trouble with 1 who didn't directly answer my question.
Good luck!
They pulled TU for membership. I'll have a chat with them when I add my wife to the new account.
