Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Just reminding people about the sticky in this forum about CLI information on whether or not it is soft or hard pull. Please add to this thread with your own experiences as well.
Here is the link:
From what I have read and experienced:
Bank of America - Hard Pull
American Express - Soft pull if done online up to 25k
Chase - Hard Pull
Discover - Hard Pull if you call. Not sure about if you do it online.
Crapitol One - Hard Pull on all 3 bureaus I believe.(That's IF they even give you an increase in the first place.)
Those are the only cards I have or had. Feel free to update or correct me.
JCPENNEY - Soft Pull
Chase Executive office - Soft Pull
BoA - Hard pull no matter what!
All GE cards with the exception of Care Credit and possibly Pep Boys: SP
Citi Dividend- 6 months old, cli $1200 to $2000 via LUV button. SP.
Only HP CLI I have ran across so far is BofA.
Citi and GE both are soft.
Can you guys add (if you haven't) to the sticky thread
