So I just got a " Enter for $1,000,000 Sweepstakes " letter from American Express

in the mail today. You have a 1 in 150,000,000 change to win the Super Jackpot and it reminded me of something Orchard Bank and First Premier would do. If I mail in the sticker attached to the letter by September 12th I get enrolled into two months of some program and if I don't do anything I will continue to be billed $150 a month. I like how it was in small print.

People bash on Discover? American Express seems much worse to me.

I always threw away mails that woudl say to stick the attached sticker here. it looks like it is a act that can be proved in the court that you physically did it.

If you have to go to the court for that mail, then something really bad can happen.

This is just my fear need not be true always, but i throw away all mails with that kind of offer.

I received the same thing, about three times now.  I don't think it's small print, they definitely want you to enroll in a program.  I just throw them out.  Amex is still my favorite card.
