You'd THINK Target is a grocery story. If that was the case, Amex will be paying me tons of cashback. I spent so much money there, i think they should give stock options.

you should think about getting the target card. or even their debit card. 5% back on everything!

I sort of recall reading that walmart was sometimes categorized as grocery story by SM , maybe target is same way? If you don't have an sm card I guess thats an moot point.

It's definitely not a department store. Not sure if it's always a grocery store. With the coding, YMMV.
I used my DC at a Wal-mart, so I could see how the EMV chip worked. That coded as a grocery store, so I would have been better off using my BCE. Arg.
