I had a charge for $80.50 for renewing my brother License for him ( he paid me in cash ) and the renew got rejected because of an error on out side not dealing with the credit card. We spoke to the DMV and said we would be credited back. So we tried again and this time it went through. So now I have 2 Charges for the same amount on my Credit card. 1 is posted and the other is pending. My statement cut is close like tomorrow or Monday. Should I Pay that 1 charge now, Dispute it or Keep on working with the DMV and hope it fixes it self before the due is past
Chances are pending wont have time to and more than likely never will post. Even if it did it's to late. It will correct itself.
A "pending" charge has not "gone through." It's been authorized, but has not yet been completed. It will have "gone through" when it posts to your account as a finalized transaction. Then, and only then, do you have a problem.

the Pending one isn't the problem though ... The pending charge is fine it is the one that has already posted which was the one where it shpuldn't of gone through ... DMV said i would be credited back
So it gets credited back. If it makes you feel better pay it. Then you will have credit when the other transaction posts.
