So...how long do you think I have before i get an FR phone call from Amex?

I called to see why my Amex Delta card was showing an extra $50 in available credit that it shouldn't have.  They put me on hold forever and finally said they couldn't explain it....but then.... account specialists got on the phone and asked me to update my phone and email...I did.  Thought I was done and then she asked if I was still working in the same job and how much I make annually...  I told her and she said thanks.   Never late...they lowered my limit from $2000 to $500...I'm expecting the FR.  Came back on to MyFico forums to "brush up" on what I need to do if and when this happens.   I told her I was going to cancel the card in the future (I guess to beat them to the punch) and asked what I needed to do to do so.  She told me and that was the end of the conversation.

Oh yeah... I've had the card for a year this weekend.  Was wondering if that is when their FR cut off limit is???

My score was in the 690's when I got the card...it's now in the 660's .....

Looks like they don't need to do a FR because they already lowered your limit. Before I got off of the phone I would have canceled the card. And with the FR they do not bother to call u. It's more like they want to surprise u while you're at the cash register r when u log in to your account.

FR's are unpredictable.. they can strike at any time regardless of flawless payment history, pristine credit, etc...
