EDIT: Oops, make that 1. Got the Sallie Mae earlier this year before they stopped taking apps.
4. Got my Navy Federal cashRewards started at $5k and upped to $7k and goRewards at $2k, Chase Freedom at $3.5k, and Discover it at $1.2k. Plus a checking line of credit with Navy Federal. Also got a couple of good increases in the cards I had before. Pretty good year. My combined credit is about 10x higher than it was at th beginning of the year.
I wasn't planning on getting any new cards this year and was firmly in the garden until I decided to trade in my car in September. So, since I deciced why not app for some cards and got the following:
I also combined 2 Cap1 limits and closed Cap1 Platinum, Credit One, HSN and Fingerhut.
