No, Discover gave me a CLD of $500 after having the card about 6 months.  At the time, I probably deserved it.  I can't even tell you what my credit report looked like, but I did carr a large balance in relation to my credit limit with them.

The other day, the gave me an auto CLI for $600 after having the card 3 years.  I believe it was generous considering I'm still carrying a large balance in relation to my credit limit.  They may have noticed some improvement in my overall credit profile, but not enough to warrant a higher increase.

I believe you can call them if you would like a higher increase.  It may be a HP.  I'll stick with the SP increase that didn't require any work on my behalf.

This. I'm not sure where the sense of entitlement to credit comes from for some people. You didn't do anything or ask for it, so why complain about an auto CLI? If you want more, take the HP for it. Your limits aren't particularly high or anything, and you have other creditors with the same original limit as the Discover sooo I really don't know what all the fuss is about. And it looks like all your cards were opened this year. Do you really expect your creditors to trust you with lots of money right off the bat?

I have been with them for 6 months, got a $300 auto CLI at 3 months and just got a $400 auto CLI at 6 months, high usage, PIF mostly but did carry a small balance last month.

It's not just time with a creditor that matters.

Re: So kind of you discover... 200 really?

Who knows what type of algorithm Discover uses. Discover gave me an auto cli this week for $5500 to $6500. My fourth statement just cut last week and I've been carrying a balance (0% promo) from a BT since the beginning. Right now, my bal is at $2600 but it was a little higher when I got the auto luv. I'm just happy with any SP/auto CLIs.
