So, what is the consensus with GE CLI's?

I have seen 4 months and 6 months.  There seems to be confusion all over the boards.  What is the consensus on GE CLI's?

Is it 4 months?

Is is 6 months?

Is it different by card?  (Sam's versus Carecredit versus ON....)

Re: So, what is the consensus with GE CLI's?

Hi!

For me it used to be every 4 months on all of the GE backed cards I have..Then it slowly moved to 6 months, now I have some recently that have passed 6 months and I'm wondering on those have I reached the cap of CL's for that particular card..

I've noticed lately with GE, it's YMMV..

~01/2008 Ficos TU 571-EX 647-EQ 652~
~3/21/2009 Ficos TU 705 EX 702 EQ 692~
~9/9/09 Ficos TU 718 EQ 693 EX???
~06/25/12 Ficos TU 719 EQ 677 EX??

Re: So, what is the consensus with GE CLI's?

GE Reps tell you 6 months almost 90% of the time now, but I consistently see Auto CLI on here at 2.5-4 months but most requested CLI usually 5-8 months.  I of course did not get ANY Auto CLI but I believe that to be because my reports were frozen at time.

Also, if I ask for a CLI and they say no, how long do you have to wait to ask again?

Re: So, what is the consensus with GE CLI's?

I think it is YMMV, BC I just recently received an auto cli on my GE backed American Eagle card after only 2 months of having the card

Re: So, what is the consensus with GE CLI's?

the 4 month CLI is no longer set in stone...strictly YMMV.  I have several GE cards and now what used to be automatic CLIs vary from none to seeing my Gap Visa jump in as little as 6 weeks.

"Consensus"?  Surely, you jest...

More than a year of GE accounts, NO luv for me. Ever.

Auto, requested, begged and pleaded for...nada.

GE seems to like a lower util than I have...

04/01/24 Fico 8: EX 763, EQ 799, TU 783.
Fico 9: EX 756 03/13/24, EQ 790 02/04/24, TU No idea.

+1

My increase pattern:

Tjx Mastercard opened in Oct.11@$800 then auto increase end of Dec to $1650 tthen increase end of june12 to $4200

Dillard's Amex opened end of Dec 11@1200 then auto increase end of Feb12 to $1700 then increase july to $4200

Walmart opened end of Dec 11@1800 then auto increase April 12 to $2600 but I think the last increase took a statement and a half to go on paper, but was online

Starting Score: 722
Current Score: Now 687 what the hockey sticks...from a 784 (Aug 12 EX 751 EQ Fico)
