So ive been reading around and im so confused. So from what I understand, they are consolidating all the lines of credit into one revolving account? I also read that they are going to be backed by citibank in the near future? any truth to this?

The last time i talked to a CSR, I was advised that all credit lines would be merged and report joinly. I've also heard that new cards would be shipped out this month. However, we've heard conflicting stories for some time, and some of us have even received mailings indicating differently. I guess we won't truly know until the end of this month.
Macy's and Bloomingdales are backed by Department Stores National Bank; Citigroup owns the portfolio.
What's odd to me is that when citi has DSNB for their retail cards, why most recently they acquired Brooks Brothers, and it is DIRECTLY backed by Citi (or maybe its Citigroup), but there is absolutely no mention of DSNB. Perhaps DSNB is being dissolved and either Citibank or Citigroup will take over the branding?
I just got approved for the Bloomies amex, and it is still being listed as DSNB, for what its worth...
I have only the Macy's store card (not the Amex) does anythign chnage for me?
Closed my Macy's card with them a week ago and couldn't be happier. Thrilled, actually.
I still have my Bloomingdale's card but will keep an eye on developments with DSNB.
