So with Crap One taking over my HSBC account....

I'm probably going to be denied the CLI I requested last week, aren't I.

I'm really tempted to close the small limit card but it's an old one so I hesitate.....

Anyone else gotten a HSBC CLI since the crapone annoucement?

Cap1/HSBC don't like to play, apparently.  I had a HSBC Platinum card/toy card limit of $1550,  AF was coming due back in Sept/'12.  So I called them up, asked them to either waive the AF or give me a CLI to at least $5K, since most of my other cards were at or above that figure at the time.  They would neither waive the AF nor give me ANY CLI, so I said "fine, close the card then, I have no use for it".

It will remain on your report as a TL, closed by consumer, if you choose to go that route. If it's a toy limit similar to what I had, closing it won't impact your util very much, in the next month after closing, I got other CLI and negated the loss of $1550 in my available credit.

If you've been reading these forums for ANY amount of time, you will know that no one has any success with front line CSRs for capital one or hsbc. you need to email the executive office of capital one regarding your requested changes. they will get back to you and work with you to get you something acceptable if your CR's and account with them are in good standing. No need to clsoe an account with them if you can get them to at least wave the AF and or raise your CL.

Yea, I didn't call or email, I just saw the luv button and hit it. I'm not holding my breath.....

It's only a $700 limit so I will likely just close it if denied.

The exec office removed my AF for my $300 hsbc card and won't raise the limit, but they also removed my AF on my cap one card and raised it $1200
