I read that most need a 700 fico for sportmans guide since it's a visa/mc.

Regular store card approvals are more lenient with lower fico scores.

Yep just tried VS again and no pop up.

Bit the bullet and took the Cap1 Platinum pre-qual offer and was approved for $300 unsecured...hard pull but hope it's not a huge hit. Was also added as an AU to a CL of 1k today. Hopefully this will be enough to drive up score.

I think that I have read that people have had success with requesting a cli upon activation of their Sportsman's Guide Visa. Has anyone done this?

I got the SMG visa pop up with a mid EQ 600 and 2 med collections. I tried to get a CLI during activation and it was a no go. Initial CL $1,500

perhaps I should get a cli on my usaa card before I ask SG for one....
