..... you have a card and the numbers/or finish starts to rub off within weeks?!?!?! Yea maybe a little OCD, but i like to keep everything i get looking new as long as possible. Its a little stressful. But im sure somebody here can relate.
Like your beautiful new Discover IT card getting scratched up a week after you just got it? If only those store clerks would let me do the swiping, my card would stay young and fresh forever. haha
I sympathize with you. I keep all my major cards in my wallet and the color on the number and name always wear off after a couple of weeks. Recently, I had a card that starting having the security code rub off. I know you can order replacement cards from most CC companies but I would just like my new ones to stay looking new for more than a few weeks.

Haha...yeah, my gawd, the way some of those retail clerks swipe your card....you are like "ouch".
OCD..... you can wrap it in a plastic grocery bag. The strip should still work through the bag, and it will stay pristine... although you could always order a new one if you like chipped a number or something and it ruined your vacation or something.....
But but but...I have so many wonderful memories with my current slightly abused card....
Hey, some of the appeal of these cards, is the actual appeal. the looks. lol. But yea, i looked at my chase today and the numbers are wearing off. On my citibank debit card i loved that it was transparent blue, but after 2 weeks it looks beat. My discover it? good condition but slightly tweaked in shape (my fault).
Good thing its easy to order a new one, especially with discover. for superficial reasons
My Discover it card already has the numbers wearing off of it. Doesn't bother me any, I use the crap out of it. My Freedom card is the same way. You can always get a new card....
The CVV code on the front of my USAA Amex is worn off; if I use it online I have to tilt it just right to see the faint groove. But my Unicorn card looks as good as the day I got it.
