I charged $400 something dollars to my Discover card this period. My statement closed around $425. Payment is not due until mid November. I made a few more charges on it since getting the statement probably around 80 bucks. Discover has reported my current balance at $505 rather than my statement balance. Last month I had a $10 balance that I paid before the statement cut and Discover still reported it after the period closed and it was paid. I recieved no statement that month due to having a $0 balance. I've never had a credit card company do this to me before. Is this normal?
yes it's normal for
Bank of America
Barclays
Capital One
Discover
Elan
GEMB
HSBC
UMB
or more. thank god I still got this on my copy and paste memory LOL
So far, I haven't had a problem with GE doing this to me. It's just been Discover that's been getting me. I don't understand why they don't report the statement balance like everyone else? Even CAP1 does that!
I don't have a Discover card but that's never happened with any of my other cards. Seems kinda odd to me.

wow nice layout
For those with Discover, are they reporting real time? So if you make a payment tomorrow, will that be reflected? If not, how are they deciding when to report a decrease?

Well I was stuck on the $500 limit fromt he time I opened the card. Called up after I got the Amex's and saaid I would never use it agian unless I got a CLI. They asked me what I wanted I said 10,000 they said I would hear back with-in 7 days. 5 Days later I loged in and see the new limit. Also I never got a Zync because of the fact if they give you the $500 limit you cant get other cards. Did not want to take the chance at the time.
I was hoping someone would post more info about this Discover thing if they are having the same issue?
