The nice thing about the SPG card is that points are extremely valuable. It only takes 2,000-4000 points to stay at a lot of their hotels. Plus if you are a Marriott Rewards member you can transfer points to Marriott at a 3:1 ratio. So the 25,000 points you earn as a bonus equates to 75,000 Marriott points. Since there is no annual free night reward, however, unless you plan on using this card extensively or changing to the Marriott/Starwood line for your hotel stays then the card would not justify keeping it after the first year
