Publix is an interesting store when it comes to banking, their atms and payment processing are handled almost entirely in-house.. in many ways they are their own financial institution.. ... Actually have you thought of trying to contact Discover and suggest adding them? They used to be pretty good at getting merchants on-board...
And grocery stores LOVE cashback/cash-over.... It saves them a fortune in cash transport/armored car fees!
