Update: Logged on to Cap1 online this morning and saw a CLI bump of $2500. Now limit is $3000. (I told them Max 5K and Min 3K. They went with the Min then)
Supposed to get a call from Cap 1 today.
Looks like they PC'ed me to the Cash Rewards Visa with NO AF. Not sure about the rates though.
I'll keep posting to let you guys know.
That's fantastic! Congrats!!!

Thanks guys, especially somotao.
I could not have done it without your help. This forum is very awesome! I have learned a lot in the last 2 weeks after joining.
So the Exec called for the final times stating that they would remove the AF, PC my 12 years old Visa Platinum with 29.4% APR to a Cash Rewards Visa and give me $3000 CL. They said I can call after after 6 months to "touch base" (hint hint another CLI? ) I told them I still have another Cap1 MasterCard Rewards with $39 AF and $1000 CL. They said next time (6 months from now) when I call, they'll see what they can do. I told them it now makes no sense for me to have this Cap1 MC with AF and 1/3 of the CL of the renewed Visa. I asked for combine CL, they said can't do that, but call back after 6 months after I demonstrate how well I manage things. It's fair though, so I'm not complaining.
As far as being a Cap1 customer, yes I can tell that the I never got any problems with their cards. Transactions post quickly and their texting service is responsive. Though their website is not as flashy as Discover and AMEX, but for simplicity I can live with that.
BTW, I just got a Discover More for $1000 starting CL. I definitely should be in the garden for at least 6 months.

Looks like they did soft pull. Prior to contacting them, Cap1 hard pulled me on 3 bureaus on May 2012 for the Cash Rewards MC card app, but in Sep 2012 they hard pulled all 3 again for the Cap1 Spark Cash Select. I got both apps approved. So I figured they may have thought of doing me a favor for not pulling hard again, and use last 2 pulls.
