I keep seeing this in pists about getting credit line increases and have no idea what it eans. Thanks.
It's the button you press to request a CLI online.
Its a button on most of the CC website that says "request credit limit increase." Sometimes they just up ur limit by pressing it. Everyone calls it the "luv button".
oh ok,that makes sense. Thanks!
If all you do to get your CLI is press a luv button, is it only ever going to be a SP?

In many cases you will be asked a few questions, mainly salary, housing costs and perhaps what limit you are looking for. Then, whether it is a HP or SP depends on the issuer. In some cases, if they have done a recent SP as part of account watching, they may use that. Others will do a HP anyway. Some, like Citi, tell you afterwards if a pull wasn't done, but of course that's not all that useful for planning.

Not always, my BofA & Barclay's are HP 99% of the time. Best to call if you aren't sure.

Citi and Chase are usually HP as well. AmEx is an exception in that they almost always SP for CLIs.
