Successful Recons on CLI!

So then they were HPs to begin with... the initial post is misleading since more or less since the CLIs were not initially approved, then you used the reconsidation route (with HP) and asked them to remove them.... that's not SP.

I called the recon lines and asked them to remove the HP's and review it as a SP.  I've learned asking for that, depending on the person on the other line, they will do it.

I started with a Barclays Rewards card back in January based on info on this Forum. I've had several other Capone cards and what not since a BK in 08 but wanted a better card. I was originally approved with a limit of 500 but called and recon'd and they matched my highest limit at that time which was a newly opened Cap One rewards card of $1000.  I also opened a rewards card through my credit union for $3500 a couple days after. Now fast forward to September and I bought my first house (closed last Tuesday!!), Capone auto CLI'd my rewards card to 1500, Barclays auto CLI'd to 1900 shortly after. That was three weeks ago. Today I called the back door number and told them I bought a house and needed more limit for remodel projects. They upped my CL to 3500 matching my credit union card and commended me on my responsible fiancial management for the last 5 1/2 years since BK. I carry no balances month to month on anything and run em up wuite a bit for points on all my cards. Also called my credit union and they increased my limit to $10,000!!! AND lowered my rate 4%! Been a good day indeed and I have learned sooooo much from everyone on here. Thank you all and thanks for all those backdoor numbers!
