EDITED TO ADD: I also app'd for the AMEX PLAT CHARGE the same day online right after Chase and was instantly approved. I've had an AMEX since 07 and have always PIF. They probably pulled EX as well though. These two cards had 50K point offers EACH. Totally worth comming out of hibernation, lol.

Does anyone in AL get approved for anything other than National Championships (Alabama/Auburn).

Congrats! How long have you banked with Chase? If you don't mind my asking, do you large deposits there or brokerage/retirement accounts with them? I'm thinking of apping, but have only been a customer for a few weeks.

Thanks! I actually do not have a banking relationship with Chase at all, in the traditional sense. I have a former Circuit City-now-Best Buy store card @ 2K and a former Wamu CC (now closed). However I do have two mortages and I sometimes think they(creditors) are reverse engineering my assets/income by calculating the size of my (estimated) assets based on the mortgage amount. My personal thoughts are that this is why mortgage accounts are given such deference in credit calculation.
Hope this helps?
