All this talk is making tempting me to add Target to my upcoming app list... I don't shop there often but the 5% might make their prices more appealing more often. Must resist!

That's a great initial CL. Maybe the TD Bank takeover was a good thing.
My initial CL was $500 but got an auto to $900 4 months later. I do use the card regularly but always PIF.

My sister usually goes to target but is affraid to apply because of the common low initial CL and the rare cli provided.

In my own experience, I guess I never saw any issues with their CLIs, until reading these forums and folks being approved for small CLs or no CLIs. My Target Visa recently got an auto-CLI of $500 to $5,500. I don't use it heavily but their CLIs over the years have been sporadic. However, I've never had to request one though, always automatic.
