TD Bank purchased Targets credit card portfolio for 6 billion

TD is great to bank with. If you ever visit a branch, they have the best/friendliest customer service in the industry, and a great little coin machine that is free to use for all account holders (similar to coinstar which charges 8.9%). They also allow me free wire transfers transfers from Canada to USA (technically they charge the wire fee but later refund it), which tbh is the reason I set up an account with them because I have a small business in Canada. They are equally great to deal with in Canada and are rated one of the top businesses in the country (and I think the largest bank).

I can't say much about credit cards because I don't have one. I looked at their rewards program and it didn't seem like something that would beat my current rewards so I didn't apply, but I might at some stage when I am seeking credit.

Hmm. I have an auto loan with TD Bank that has one payment left on it. I wonder if that'll do anything for me in terms of possibly getting a CLI or Visa upgrade on my store card.

They are very popular up here in New England. They rival BOA in terms of branches and ATM's

Welp....the online app is back up and I applied and got the 7-14 day message

The application status screen screen states "For your security, you can successfully obtain your application status online only once. You will also receive a response in the mail within two weeks of submitting your application."
