Quick background on my credit profile. FICO scores should all be 680 - 695. Current open CC's:

Cap 1     (500 CL) opened on 2/11

Cap1      (500 CL) opened on 11/11

Barclays (2000CL) opened on 11/11

Currently holding <10% utl.

Two new accounts opened in the last month. 5 inq's on TU, 3 on EQ, and 4 on EX. From my research Discover pulls EQ or TU.

Two baddies on CR (one CO from 2005 and another partially paid collection from 2 years ago).

My one fear in app'ing is having Discover pull TU and Barclay's freaking out and closing my card. I'd like to use the Discover More as my every day card.

What are your thoughts?

I don't think 3 is too many, but it may be in the eyes of Barclay's. I've also read here that Discover isn't very generous w/CLIs. And 5 inq on TU is approaching the "too many for approval" range.

You might want to wait 6 months, or at least until March, when you will have had your Cap One a full year, before apping for anything else. And if your iPad is PIF at that point, likelihood is that Barclay's won't flip w/a new acct.

Thanks for the feedback every one. I decided against app'ing for now. Patience is a virtue. By March I'll be in good shape. Actually if I can hold off until April when my CO falls off, I might be able to get a Freedom.

My Primary Financial Goal is to put down my utl%.
