Target Approved!!!

Today I was at Target doing a little bit of Christmas shopping, and the app bug bit me. I figured it was worth it because I do shop at Target a fair amount and the 5% off is nice.

App'd at the register, instant approval for $1000 CL @ 13.25%!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

From what I understand Target is not usually that generous with CL's right? Most of my friends have Target Cards with CL's $200-500, and they have better scores than I do!

Also, they pull EQ right? I hope so, because EQ has the lease INQ's for me (only 4 or 5 I think, TU has 9, and EX has 7)

I've never had/needed/wanted a store card before, so its something a little new for me.

EDIT: I thought that I would also share that my util is ~5% atm. So that probably helped!

Actually, I did go back and buy a couple more things that I wanted! Its 5% off so why not right? LOL!!

creditaddict, IDK if its new, but the brochure with the terms they gave me with my temp. card say they have 3 tiers, 13.25, 17.25, and 22.9% depending on creditworthiness

I called and the overseas call center had to search her pre-written instructions to tell me "target is not currently reviewing any accounts for APR reductions"

I was like great, the script is the same for CLI too

Congrats! Just checked mine. Still a crappy 300 limit. You got a great limit and APR from them!

Congratulations! Regarding the CLs, Target seems to have seriously changed with new applications. I applied on Tuesday for a Target card when I was buying a few small things. I got a CL of $2,500 at 13.25%. I have seen several people get $3,000 lately, but I guess my util was a bit high.

For me, they pulled indeed EQ. The pulls seem to be random, though.
