That is a good idea to squeeze a few more % out of it, I hadn't really thought that.  Convincing my wife to do that is going to be another story though....

I have had the debit since 2011. The biggest reason I don't go to the CC is bc I just don't need another CC in my wallet. Also, I get the same benefits as the store card, and i maximize with cartwheel and coupons when I have them. If I need to purchase anything that needs to be floated I just use a regular CC (which has never happened). My debit card was part of the fraud issue that Target had and i was 100% safe thanks to my bank. I had quite a bit taken from me and my bank had it back in my account maybe 2 days later.
