Congratulations! So it took about 2 1/2 years to go from the Target store card to the Target Visa? Did they do that automatically or did you have to request it?
I'm not the OP, but I opened my red card in 05/02 and it was automatically switched to a visa in 08/04.
05/2002 -- opened @ 200
08/2004 -- went to visa @ 1k
02/2008 -- automatic cli to 5k
10.2008 -- automatic cli to 7k
Hope that helps!

I did not know Target has an automated CLI line. I thought they were not accepting CL increases under any circumstances. Does anyone know if this is a hard or soft pull?
The store card does not accept CLIs (manual), but the Visa does have a [working] luv button.
Message Edited by llecs on 12-29-2008 09:30 PMIt does? I can't seem to find it -- what screen is it on? (And no, I'm not going to push it!)
Ooops! Is there no LUV button? I was only repeating what someone else had stated in here. I prefer to trust but verify but I don't have the card, but I do remember a discussion on Target CLIs and someone mentioned they request it online.

Well I don't have one -- but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist for some people. Whew!
Anyone else see a luv button?
I cut this from their website. I didn't see a button when I logged into my Target Visa but, you could always call.

They opened mine with a score of 672 and gave me a CL of $3000. I just broke the 700 mark on my FICO, so I'm hoping for an automatic limit increase when my card reaches the year old mark in March.

That's exactly what mine says. (And no, I'm not poking the beast!)

I didn't request to receive the Target visa. I received a notice in the mail that I was being upgraded in September of 2007. It gave me the info on how to opt out, but at the time, I was really happy to get the visa because we were recovering from a BK from 2006 and this was my only card. Getting a visa was a good thing and really started us on the road to recovery.
