I applied for AMEX zync last month and was denied. The reasons were my teletrack charge off accounts, charge offs/collections, and score not high enough(675). So i just got my report this week and it says I have 2 paid charge offs that I dont recognize for $439 and $239. I put in a dispute and dont have any other negatives on teletrack, I just paid off my 2 charge offs on experian report. The teletracks charges off's will fall off next year sometime, so should I just wait for them to fall off before I reapply. I am not looking to apply until about another year so I can get a higher score.
Others have had issues with Teletrack when applying for an AMEX as well - This thread has several links to others who have had similar issues: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Amex-declined-with-BK/td-p/1480870

You might be wise to wait until they fall off because, I am not sure how you deal with Teletrack in order to get anything removed from their report, ESPECIALLY, if you aren't going to be applying for anything for another year anyhow.

LOL I have a count down for mine to fall off 386 days
thanks everyone. I was trying to search here on how to file a dispute with teletrack. I told the rep I spoke with that I wanted to dispute and she said is the address listed one of my old addresses and I said "yes" and she just said she will send an email to the company asking what type of account. I think I will just wait for them to fall off.
BTW, a lot of Teletrack's data comes from payday loan industry. If you have chargeoffs on Teletrack, it is probably related to that. Teletrack is a "negative" database, meaning they store don't track history as much as track any negative information on accounts. Forgot to mention, my old corporate parent owns Teletrack and I've met the senior guys there. Didn't realize that started selling to AMEX though.
So I received my dispute letter yesterday and both items were removed from Teletrack...yaaayy!.. Now my teletrack is clean. I can work on my other denial reasons over the next year:
I was running 42% Util when my teletrack stuff came off. Applied for the AMEX BCE and was immediatly approved for 7K
As always YMMV
Good Luck!
I also applied and was denied in June due to teletrack. I recieved my report and it is a cash advance from sometime in 2000/2001 (I say this because I have not lived in Ohio or did any type of cash advance since 2001), but they have it listed as 2006!!!
