GECRB has done the mid cyle bit on me before. Didn't really matter then as I wasn't apping for anything. However if I was at the point were I was needing a score bump I'd have been upset too.

Is there any rhyme or reason to why they mid-cycle report? CLI, BT, etc?

Full moon? I have no idea on mine. I didn't change anything.

I guess there is always a good explanation for Discover doing this (SP, CLI, statement change) ... nevertheless, what is the problem? It may not be a good thing for us, but as long as someone does not want to apply for something, it doesn´t matter that much in my opinion.
Do not get me wrong, I will not like it either, if they do that to me. But as long as it is in some form legal for them to do that, there is not much one can do. Besides SD the card maybe.

Discover always mid-cycle reports for me when I request a CLI. You can actually use this to your advantage by paying down your balance to zero and requesting another CLI.
