The AMEX Zync Approval Thread

If you were recently approved, list whether you got NPSL or hard limit. List other info. if your cool doing so. This should be a good reference for members wanting in with AMEX ad need further info. on the card.

I was approved for the Zync last month with the scores in my sig. I have some old baddies (2 CO now ~5yrs old), a couple lates here and there that are getting old as well. I got NPSL, but I'm still a little nervous when I use it in the mall or at a meal lol! I still wonder if I should have tried for an AMEX Green? Oh well, I'm gonna baby this card for 6 months and see where I'm at afterwards. Hope this helps everyone!

I was at EX FICO 700, 2 baddies (6yr old paid tax lien, 3 30 day lates on paid off auto loan latest Oct 2010) AAoA 1.5yrs. Overall util. 8%. Approved for NPSL.

i was approved for amex zync as well about a week ago with npsl, how did you guys find out what your experian scores were from amex? they never sent me my score

@Itsrx I'm a member of PSECU, the only spot to get EX FICO free monthly.

how did you get amex to give you your score?

Approved with the following on 3/24/2012

AAoA: 1 year 3 months
Experian: 728
Inquiries: 3
Baddies: late payments on child support, assorted 30, 60, 90 and 120 days that were all resolved
History: 1 revolving account with Capital 1 Journey

how did you get amex to give you your score?


I just called them before my card arrived and asked what was the score the pulled from EX. They told me immediately.



Starting Score: EQ 593 TU 606
Current Score: EQ 674 TU 670 EX 634 (via AMEX on 3/5/12)
Goal Score: 700's baby let's get it!

I was just approved in October with 2 baddies on my Ex 1 c/o and 1 med bill for $200.00. The c/o was from 7 years ago and the med was from 4yrs ago. 1st I was denied and called the backdoor # and ask me if I had a checking account. I was approved for $500.00. Its a start. My fico score was 664

Not sure why you would want Green over Zync... I think Zync has better rewards... If you are going higher then Zync, I would be looking at Gold with some of the sign on bonus stuff and regular Member Rewards vs. Express.

Run a test charge for $1000.00 If that is approved you can rest easy on dinner and mall unless you are already charging much higher, Either way I would not stress.
