Ok, now you know what they're looking for. Allow your accounts to age, get your util down and wait for baddies to drop. When that happens, try again and you'll stand a much better chance at getting approved. In the meantime, any further apping is just going to continue to ding you. So, after you've finished doing your penance in the dungeon, you need to come back to the garden and stay there until the above issues are resolved. Rest assured, we will welcome you back.

Re: The Decision

What kind of derogatory do you have? My oldest CC is from April, I thought yours was about the same? Was your util high this last report? Maybe your recent Barclays card hurt?

Re: The Decision

I got approved with 7 months history so "length of time accounts established" should never be a reason to deny anyone. I think third and fourth reasons were just there to put some substances in a denial letter. No meaningful. Baddies and too high utilization are what amex consider.
