Re: The Duck Card

@Hockeyplayrr,

I believe it was the cash back option for me.  My thought was the low apr is probably reserved for those with excellent credit.

Re: The Duck Card

Don't trust your Duck/Beaver cards (until further notice). DO NOT leave the house with only this card.  Many people have had their accounts frozen and when you call in, they say "Your card may have been compromised" and offer no further info.

Re: The Duck Card

Well guys & gals you may not be able to get any info out of these small time operators, seems they have frozen just about everyones card who has apped in last 2 months. I called card services this morn to find out what was up, pressed them hard and all they could say was "its possibly compromised", we will call you when we have further info..... Well this doesn't set with me, I didn't beleive them and I demanded that the card hold be released immediately or put it where sun doesn't shine, they refused so the Beaver card I had for all of 5 days is in the dustbin of OCCU Duck/Beaver history. Wishing you all the best of luck with them.

PS: Personally I think they are under pressure from regulators over loan loss reserves, in all my life I have never seen an organization like this hand out high limits to just about anyone who comes knocking, including people with BKs, other PRs, CA/JDB, COs, etc..

Re: The Duck Card

You have to admit they been handing out super high starting limits like candy!

20k limits x multi apps for a good while now.

Well, at least i did manage to get a BT done before whatever is going to happen, happens.

Yeah if this hurts me I'm back to square one with secured cards that aren't even helping.

Re: The Duck Card

I just signed in to my (Duck) online account. Everything is there as expected. No cautions or any sort of hint to a problem. My spend is already been done for me until next month. Maybe whatever is raising all these recent rash of concerns will get ironed out once the business week goes forward again.
