Lol.....I've been thinking about the same thing. I pay $497 monthly thru my job for health insurance. ...it's 65% coverage after a $3500 deductible. ..Me and the hubby only go to the doctor once a year for annual checkups. ..we never reach that deductible! !!!! I don't see the point. ...I could be also putting that money towards our CC debt while preparing for a mortgage this summer.....Decision! Decisions!
Mine is 80/20 with a $500 deductible and coinsurance. I never reached my deductible either and I still have to pay for certain services my co-pay doesn't cover...sucks! Obama care needs to be reformed for us poor folks.

You gotta do what you gotta do! A mortgage payment is nooo joke and I think homeownership is really important.

Won't stay like this for long though ...

So, I'm about to leave to work and last night I wrote down all my debts again, Here you guys go! I'm in a world of *!
I can do it though, This is thanks to purchasing a car and medical expenses at the same time! =P!!

Total of $33,481.96 in Credit Card debts. Other expenses which limit me from sending huge payments = $300 car note, $300 car insurance, $70 health insurance, $30 life insurance, $80 cellphone, $80 home internet.
I don't pay rent or any other bills, So I do just fine even with the credit card bills! Although the amount owed is high right now, I'm (hopefully) safe from future health expenses, Now that my health insurance kicks in on May 1st. I didn't have health insurance until now! This upcoming paycheck I will pay off Target.
also, About $6,500 is things I've taken out for other people, They have been paying me back slowly so I'm not at the point of no return just yet !! I've put 95% of my credit cards away and I only carry a gas card and my BoA credit card.
Here's to being debt free and inquiry free in 2 years.
I'm currently working on getting my Capital One and Citi card balances down. On the Cap 1, I've gotten it down to around 150 bucks and Citi, because I had to pay some textbook stuff, was always hovering in the 400s in terms of balances until now where I was able to get it down close to around 200 dollars. Still working on it.
In the midst of trying to pay off my debt...the unfortunate has happened. My bed broke...I mean completly broke down. Althought I really can't afford a new bed. I'm sleeping on the floor and it's killing my back. I'm trying to figure out how to buy one without getting an installment loan. I've heard they really hurt your credit. My goal was to pay off CC's so don't really want to put on them and I don't have any cash for one.....anyone know of furniture stores that don't report as installment loans or other way to purchase.
Adding my info for this challenge. I accumulated debt over Christmas, a recent family vacay, and a medical procedure in Feb. I have sock-drawered these cards and make payments twice a month. I hope to have my total utilazation under 20% by the end of the summer.

Installment loans in and of themselves don't hurt credit any more than any other type of new TL. Besides, any negative impact on your score from a new TL wouldn't matter unless you were looking to apply for more credit. Can you just get a mattress and boxspring to sleep on? I got a queen size mattress+boxspring for about $500 but I'm sure you can find something cheaper. Good luck.

If you'd like to post interest rates and minimum payments, we'd be happy to give you some additional commentary. Based on the fact that you intend to pay Target off with your next paycheck, I'd say you can probably pay off Newegg, NRA and Citi, possibly over the next four months. I'd go with that strategy, personally, because you have quite a few monthly payments to make. You might also look at adding another job, or possibly doing some freelance work to eat away at your debt because you say you can't make large payments. It'd be nice to see you debt free in less than two years, and I really think that you can do it.
Good luck on your adventure!
