[ Edited ]

SO, I went ahead and BT 3 Higher interest cards over to the NFCU Plat MC, at 2.99 interest for 12 months.  I now have everything either at 0% or 2.99% for now... this 11k worth of debt should drop fairly quickly, I hope .. :smileyhappy: I will repost updated numbers in 10 days or so when it posts.  This move saves me 78 bucks a month in interest payments.. so it effectively pays off my Cap 1 card for me over the course of 12 months.

Re: The GREAT CC Payoff Challenge!!

Ok. Here goes. I restrained my holiday spending a little more then necessary but then again with an Aug.-Dec app-o-rama i wanted to space things apart enough since my AAoA would surely be toast.
I got right on PIF most and all carried balances.
Longest card = US Bank - Added a whole host of newbies as follows:

Discover - (1400) Balance (0)
Citi Diamond (800) Balance (0)
GM Capital 1 (600) Balance (60)
US Bank (2000) Balance (1630)
Gecrb ShopHQ (1000) Balance (20)
Gecrb Walmart (1000) Balance (127) NEW!
Fingerhut (1300) Balance (0)
Target (500) Balance (0)
Victoria Secret (750) Balance (0)
Comenity/ Jessica London (500) Balance (40)
Comenity/KingSize (500) Balance (0)
Added Duck Card (2500) NEW!

Thanks to the incredible assistance from membership here and the focused responses and suggestions to boot, i feel like i made some positive progress so far since all cards except US Bank, Fingerhut, & Target are less then 6 months old.

Re: The GREAT CC Payoff Challenge!!

I started paying my cards down a couple of months ago -- they were all pretty much maxed out so, I've come along way. I went crazy buying new furniture. I have about $1,000 in funds that I can allocate each month towards paying them off. Right now, the amount I pay to each is almost equal. Also, I can probably eek out an additional $1,000 for this month. How should I use my money?
