I just called for a recon, the guy looked over my reports and said he likes my reports because there are no delinquencuies but has a few questions about my balances. He asked about my balances on my Chase Freedom and Amex Zync. He asked what I used those cards for and when they will be paid off. I told him the truth and he said ok, I like your reports, you seem responsible so I am going to approve you for $2500.

Welcome! Check out the stats section of the new site that you have access to. I wish all credit card companies gave us stats on the entire customer base for the card we are using. Forward thinking...
So any people have the same result it seems; Denial/Backdoor Recon/Approval.
I don't want to sound greedy, but is it possible to recon a recon? Meaning I got denied initially as stated above then got approved after a recon for $2500. Can I call back and try to get a higher limit? If not, how is Barclay with CLIs?
Been a while since I've come into this thread. What's new? Average score of current card holders?
Gears are still turning about an additional AMEX but the hands are still firmly in the soil.......
Thought I would share my recent approval.
Approved for 5K after calling recon line. (I was immediately given the 7-10 day message after applying because I also have a Juniper account.)
I applied 7-23 and was denied. I waited for the reasons in the mail they were
Low available credit on existing credit card(s)
Insufficient credit history
High debt obligation
I'm running about 45% util and my score is 692
I called this morning for a recon and they only gave me $1000 but I'll take it! (said with a big grin )
Whether $1,000 or $10,000, you're in, right? Welcome to the club!
(for those who didn't get in: My husband didn't, and recon didn't work for him, either. Just so you know that other people with decent credit were shut out, too.)
Yes and I am happy, Thank You!
I really wanted this card!
