Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I keep seeing everyone refer to the "Good Ones" would anyone mind listing the names of what they feel the "Good Cards" are. I mean is there as specific list or is it just everyones own opinion.
I just want to know so I will know where to set my goals and what specific habits I will need to develop or change to reach them.
Thank You!
IMO its just a preference maybe what one can only get approved for.
Example my favorite card today is Chase Freedom but tomorrow may be amex. Im sure others will chime in soon and have fun with this post.
I have to agree with Hauling's list.
The "good" cards to me are the one's that have great rewards, low APR, and a useable CL for my needs. All of these she has listed at the top. I still carry some of the rebuilder's that are ok at this point (Orchard 2% CB, Hooter's for questionable purchases )

Hey midnight
if you dont mind me asking what do you mean by certian type of cards carry more weight in fico scoring?
It's been confirmed by our admin. that FICO gives a little more weight to cards issued by national banks than to cards issued by credit unions or local banks.

Well, let's see, going by issuer:
Chase
Citi
Bank of American
Discover
US Bank
American Express (yes, I know, I know --don your Kevlar vest and grab the long-handled tongs, and research first)Barclay, HSBC and Cap 1have "good cards" (Ameriprise World Elite MC, Saks World Elite MC AND CAP 1"s Prestige.
the good CU's and CU-like entities:
USAA
Navy FCU
Pentagon FCU (PenFed)
Patelco --I suppose this was Pacific Telephone or something?
lesser-known CU's
NASA FCU
Alliant, I think it is
Delta FCU
Justice FCU
CCCU (must be willing to agree to make religious affirmation)Agricultural FCU, Addison Avenue, Coastal FCU
can be good or terrible, depending on what you get:
Capitol One
WaMu, although who knows what's up with them these days
Barclay's/ Juniper
HSBC
local banks and CU's
rebuilders and new to credit:
Orchard (although they have a couple of keepers)
Hooters
again, local banks and CU's
scary:
Premier
Applied
Continental
Tribute
First National
I'm definitely shaky on these last categories, so I will happily accept correction.
