For me it's the Chase BP card. 3 months after getting it, the BP station near my house sold out to Shell.
Chase refuses to do a pc. The card sits in my safe. I'll likely just shread it.
I don't have a useless card yet - but I'm kind of thinking it will be Discover after the sign up bonuses, etc. settle and outside of the restaurant quarterly. I mean, I just apped for and got SIX new cards. Yes, in hindsight, too many...but I do have plans for most of them...and the two with AF I will use the most, and really I was trying to build relationships with lenders in addition to increasing my total limits for UTIL. My FICO will take an immediate hit, but in 6-12 months, it will have recovered I think with perfect payment history and ideal utility. After all, I'm planning on being wealthy (and not dreamy kind of wealthy, but work my ass off kind of wealthy) in 5-10 years so getting my foot in the door early is helpful .

Barclays Williams Sonoma (only apped to buy a set of dishes...LOL)
Dillards (very rarely shop there)
Citi TYPremier (has been nerfed so will close once i reach the 13th month which will be in August).
Marriott (have the Ritz and devaluation doesnt help)
Can someone tell me what "nerfed" means?

Nerfed in this sense means to water down the benefits. Like if you get 5% on travel and next year they change it to 3% then it was nerfed.
Gotcha! I figured as much but wanted to make sure before I started throwing the term incorrectly
Thanks for the quick repsonse.
My two useless cards are VS Angel Card and the Merrick Visa. As for VS, I only shop at BBW, and that doesn't count toward rewards points. The Merrick Visa has a very high APR and no rewards for using. It's currently in the SD and will likely be closed at the 24 month mark.

And to be a "true nerf" you also need to receive email like "Congratulations! Your XXX card has been improved. You will now get a full THREE PERCENT on all travel [except for air, sea and land travel, other exceptions apply] etc"
My useless cards are:
- HHgregg ($0/$4000) - their financing offer is not good compared to BestBuy. But it has a nice limit which helps with UTI.
- Amazon Store Card ($400) - no idea why I got it in the first place. Bad decision.
- Walmart DC ($400) - at least it's a Discover, so I can charge something small and get a statement
- Chase Slate - SD'ed for now, $0 balance. Hope for a good BT offer or CLI or something.
- Citi Simplicity / 2 BB&T Cards - SD'ed due to high balances. Working on paying it down ASAP.

I have love hate with discover, but shopdiscover is pretty darn nice feature of the IT card.
