Thin file, low limits & high scores, aaoa & income...which AMEX?

I was planning to app AMEX for EveryDay CC to get  the 15k MR @$1000 spend signup bonus & then do a 3x cli  to eventually obtain a spend limit of $5k or $10k before trying for other signup bonus cards.

However my scores are higher than expected and I'm getting better offers:

AMEX PRG 50k MR @ $2000 spend (snail mail)

AMEX Delta 35k mikes +$50 Credit @$1000 spend (online personal offers...along with Gold & PRG w/25k MR).

I really wanted to start with a no AF forever CC to thicken my profile for the long term...but the temptation to get 50k MR for my first unsecured card since 2008 it very tempting...even if the PRG is a charge card which I would likely cancel after the first free year.

I'm wondering If I have a shot at a successful app for a card more rewarding than the ED (or ED blue)....both of which previously showed up under my personal offers.

.

I understand that if an AMEX app is denied, the HP could be used for a second app for a more modest card without triggering a second HP.

Is this correct?

Looks like you have the Capital One more than 6 months. I would think your chances are pretty good, but no one can be certain until you app.

The PRG 50,000 points bonus is not always available, so my suggestion would be go for the PRG now. There is no AF the first year, you can set up the airline fee redemption, and see how an AMEX works for your spend.

Keep in mind (watch for) how the AMEX codes grocery, gasoline, and even restaurants since some places you would think are those, are not in AMEX coding.

Good luck!
