Re: Think twice before you apply for Citi credit card.

Citi was one of the first cards I got and I now have two of their cards. One is my highest CL by far and have been happy with their service.

hmm where are you getting your scores in your sig? (the ones pulled in november)

how many inquries do you have since you seem to be chasing a new animal every month?

i would close the fp, any card with an af unless the benefit outweighs the cost.

any baddies on your reports.

what did they list for the reasons that you were deneid that you said they changed. im not trying to be that guy but im seriously trying to help you as everyone on this board does.

I had 50%+ util when I got my first citi card, and one of my citi cards I carried a balance over $10k for over two years during tough times. (2009-2011) My util on that card was well over 90% during the whole span. They actually increased my limit  in 2010 and that helped my utilization.

Re: Think twice before you apply for Citi credit card.

I'll chime in on this as well. Citi (like all banks) has some flaws. To say that people should hold it against a bank is just nuts. Lately you and a few others on the boards have this "entitlement" mentality about credit. If someone can't get in with a bank it doesn't mean you bash the bank. For example, you practically claim that people shouldn't deal with:

1) Capital One

2) US Bank

3) Barclays

4) Citi

The only reason you continue to bash these banks is because they have taken AA against you or denied you. It is perfectly okay to say you don't like them but to have a personal vendetta against them so others believe they are the worst is just plain wrong. You have issues with your Credit Report...nothing to be ashamed about as millions of people have issues. You claim you got in with PenFed...does that mean those that get denied should try and influence others that PenFed is the most horrendous bank...of course not.
