Re: Think twice before you apply for Citi credit card.

Haha that picture looks like my mail every month too.. Citi sends me a new app for either the base Thank You card or the Simplicity card every 4 days it seems  (And let's not forget the balance transfer offers too).  Maybe once they learn I'm more interested in the TYP will I actually bite :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Think twice before you apply for Citi credit card.

I agree that Citi is very strange and seems very unorganised with everything. They are one of the big four in the United States and their website design and everything about how you set up a new deposit account is horrid. Taking two weeks to access a new chequing account is unacceptable.

Their credit card side is fine so far. It took about ten minutes to get the one card approved, but it may have been for verification. They even sent the cards overnight without me even mentioning it.

A lot of people on here seem to hate a lender when they get declined. If the lender was so bad, why apply for the credit in the first place? Not many people like getting declined, but I just take it and move on. I was declined for Citi before and this time it worked,so I am happy about that.

Re: Think twice before you apply for Citi credit card.

Forgive me for asking a stupid question (I've only recently become interested in my credit so I still have a lot to learn!) but how were you able to increase your score so much while still having so many inquiries? And keep your scores (relatively) consistent?

You should provide clear relavent info pertaining to this topic. We shouldn't have to dig it up from scattered poorly written posts and other threads.

Like I said, there's missing information somewhere; either you're not telling us or I'm not seeing it.
