Also in 2009 they closed my consumer Lowes card with no warning... I had paid off the balance within the 24 month promo period for 0%
boom, account closed.

I used my Lowes card to buy all the appliances for my kitchen when I did a remodel a couple years back, was able to get all Samsung mid to high range appliances and had the choice of 5% discount or 0% finance for 12 months. Took the latter and paid if off before it came due.
