I have the AMEX Delta Gold and in the miles section on the website, it gave me 10,000 miles.
What can this be used for?? Is it enough to purchase a ticket?? I don't see a chart or anything that tells me what 10,000 miles can get me..lol!
Sorry if this is a dumb question....lol

Not a dumb question but if you go to the delta website, you can look up specific flight prices. Right above "find flights" you'll see a "book award travel" box. Check that and it'll tell you in miles how many you need for that flight. There are also charts floating around using google.
Never be afraid to ask a question! They're not dumb; they're how we learn.

Thanks tinuviel!!
Basically, 25K miles for a roundtrip award at the saver level or whatever Delta calls it. But it can be hard to find Delta availability at the low level. I believe Delta now lets you pay with a portion of your flight using your miles at a fixed value of $0.01 as well, which puts a floor on the value you can get out of your Delta miles.

"The only dumb question is the one never asked"
Or, if you prefer a more cheeky retort...
"There are no such things as stupid questions. Just stupid people." LOL
Not a dumb question at all OP, especially to those of us that are new to this stuff. I learned something from this thread too!
So for the Skymiles gurus, can miles be used to upgrade seats as well? What about upgrades at the the time of travel (for example sometimes delta will have business class or first class seats left over that the want to fill and offer at a discounted rate.) Can you get those with your miles as well?
