Thoughts on USBank Platinum Card

I just received an offer from usbank. Is this a prime card?

Very much.  It's actually considered on of the more difficult banks to get a card from.

I had them many years ago. My only regret is that I closed them. It is a relationship worth keeping.

They are my bank.  They took over a local bank and I didn't relise they were that big, so I never asked them for a card.  Now I have enough, so it is too late!

I have 4 of my own real CCs and an AUship on DWs, that is plenty to be going on with - no more apps this year!

And their cards don't have very attractive terms compared to my others

Re: Thoughts on USBank Platinum Card

Thank God - and this forum- that I'm finally back in the position where I can carefully choose what card I want in my wallet. I'm considering this one. Where does it rank in comparison to Discover, Amex, or a signature card?

Re: Thoughts on USBank Platinum Card

Just as a side note, I spent a good half hour last night researching them.

Their website says they have 2,368 branches nationwide. But for the life of me, I couldn't find any information at all, on where their branches are located. I have to assume they don't have any branches in Texas...if they do I sure couldn't find any listing. I find that odd. The website says they are the 6th largest bank in the U.S.

It appears they have a ton of branches in super big grocery stores.

They have numerous branches - independent of the grocery stores - in SoCal.  I purchase pre paid visas there for my daughter when she travels.

Re: Thoughts on USBank Platinum Card

My brother has they're CC with a $10,000 CL. he said out of all of his cards he uses it the most. He also said he never got turned down when asking for an CLI. Us ban is where I have been doing all of my banking with the last 3 years. I had the secured card but I closed it a couple of month ago. I'm in Ohio and Us bank is about a 2 minute walk from my house and 2 other 1's less than a 5 minute drive away. They asked me last month if I was gonna apply but I'm just gonna stick with the cards I currently have
