TigerPay Preapproval Email

I've bought a few things from TigerDirect over the years, and today received a Preapproval Email stating my credit limit would be $8250.

I usually would use the mypoints visa or upromise mc to get the extra percentage. The only appeal of the TigerPay card would be if I was making a larger purchase that qualified for interest-free financing, and I'm torn whether I'd be happy or not about a hidden tradeline because it would be a rare time for me to spend $8250 at TigerDirect.

Has anyone else received one of their preapproval emails?

Is it a SP, or a HP? Which bureau(s)?

Is the tradeline hidden?

I was going to garden... Honest!

I received this email with a $2750 preapproval limit as well. I'm debating on taking it but I too wonder if it will be a SP and a hidden TL also. Maybe I'll be the guineapig lol.

My guess would have to be a HP, only because usually applications are HP

I got the $2750 offer as well, not going to take it, when I went to the link, it asked for my full SS# so it will be a HP, and on top of that the interest rate is insane at 29% if you do make a purchase that isn't zero percent for X months, and it would totally suck to get hit with the interest should you not pay it off in full. In addition Comentity is not known for hidden trade lines. It really sucks that Tiger Direct ended the Tiger Prefered card, I still have the account with a 4k CL that is useless it doesn't even report.

I was wondering about this as well as I also received an email offer. If it's a hidden TL then I'd consider it. I have a BillMeLater line that I use around the holidays and I love that it doesn't report. They've given me a couple nice auto-CLI's as well.

If anyone decides to go for it, let us know what the outcome is. I'm quite curious.

Not sure specifically on this one, but I know BML was HP on EQ to open, even though it is a hidden TL. Always assume opening a credit account will generate at least one HP.
