Timeframe for a CLI request?

Opened a small CC w/ my CU 10/11. Is 6 months a good time to ask for a CLI?  If it is not a hard pull, it won't impact my credit negatively in any way will it? I am looking to app for a mortgage sometime this year (looking like 8 months from now).

Re: Timeframe for a CLI request?

I think that 6 months is a good time to request an increase. An hopefully they will only require a soft pull, you could even go ahead and ask them about it now.

No impact to your credit with a soft pull.

Re: Timeframe for a CLI request?

I think 6 months is a reasonable amount of time. CLIs won't hurt you as you're looking to apply for a mortgage. A great deal (but not all) CCCs use soft pulls to determine a CLI.
