Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

No difference from what I can see.  Website seems easier for the ego however (no witnesses).  Smiley Happy

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

Website is easier, but not everyone has the option.

It never became available to me. I did it through the automated phone system.

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

I just called the number on the back of my card and picked it out of the options, so the direct line is one I don't have.

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

Online it's a little hidden but think it's always there for all.

And as direct phone, no... You can do it automated on phone... Rep will not do anything different but depending might be easier then all the automated and typing right numbers!

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

The online option is there for all, but it won't always "let you do it".

It always cited "technical difficulties" for me and that I had to call in for that. I should have taken that as a sign. lol

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

That error is off the button that most find... If you work your way through some of the other menus on the account and you can find different button and that one works.

I know there is a CLI department number (have spoken to them before), but I forget it.  Really need to write it down.

Found it: AMEX Credit Limit Increase: 18005768942

This number is the CLI department and you talk to someone.  Better to use automated systems like web or phone number.  The CLI department is more for asking questions.

Re: To CLI or Not AMEX

I tore the site up looking for the LUV button, and only found one place.

It gives me that "Were updating the site" please call the number on the back of the card.......

No thanks LOL
