To keeping the CC an active!!

I normally charge with small purchase on my non-primary ccs to keep it an active.

  • What if I charge and return the product/item?
  • The card activities will shows charge and credit, and the balance will be $0.
  • Does ccc will take it as I am using my cc?  or no?

I just want to make sure to understand how does it works.

Thanks.

Re: How to keeping the CC an active?

Many people here have their CC's report a zero balance yet they use them all the time.  They just make sure that the CC reports a zero balance.  IMHO most CCCs report based on activity, not what the amount is.  GEMB is known to sometimes skip a report of a zero balance but they do eventualy report it.

As long as you show any transaction, you should be good to go wise

Re: How to keeping the CC an active?

why dont you keep  using your card for small amount and PIF, thats a good one

even i am poor, i never buy something and return it without the good reason,

i am just shock, you have a plan to return it before you buy it .. thats so bad

sorry, this is my opinion.

I'll let the OP speak for themselves but I don't believe this is what was meant.  I understood the question as being if anyone happens to use a card for a purchase and then returns the item for whatever reason will the card still show activity. They did not mean they would purposely buy something they did not mean to keep.

But I could be wrong with my interpretation and you could be right.

Thanks marine vet.    I should provide more information in the first place.

I just made a purchase with one of my cc.  And then, I had to return it  because I did not like the item after I tried it at home.    This transaction was the only one purchase I made within a cycle, and credited the refund before it's closing date.   So, I only have these two transaction on  this cc.    I normally make a small purchase and PIF before it's closing date.   Since this is not normal, I decided to ask.
