I apped for the Sallie Mae World MC about 2 weeks ago and was denied. Reason was debt to income ratio. My debt load is 0 except for student loans and whatever balances I had reporting at the time (less than 1% UTL).
I didn't even consider calling to recon until now... but is it too late to recon?
Always reconsider you already took the hit for the inquiry! Good Luck!

+1 ..but make sure it is not a 2nd pull at recon ..good luck
Eh, no dice. It wasn't another HP, but since I don't have taxable income (student currently) they won't give me the card.

Sorry to hear. At least you tried.

Sorry to hear....this is another example how strange lender decisions can be....look at your Discover card 4,5K and Barclays declines??.....

Yeah, I was really looking forward to the Sallie Mae card too since I don't go over $250 in gas and rarely go over $250 in groceries per month. I have BCE though, so I'm really only missing out on 2%/3% respectively... which I think comes out to $12.50 per month assuming I hit the $250 mark each month (which I don't).
Barclays can be quirky depending on the circumstances. You can always reapply in 6-12 months if conditions change and if you're still interested in the Sallie Mae CC.
